Fuel Pump Relay or OVP

Hi,

I believe I may have the same problem with my 1989 300SE. I can hear the pump running when you crank the engine. It was suggested in some posting to bridge the pin 30 and 80 of the Fuel Pump Relay which will keep the pump continually running. But since the Fuel Pump runs when it is crank, this should eliminate the fuel pump relay problem. Can someone help confirm this.

I took out the OVP relay and the two fuses looks okay. This happen to me before and I dug out the maintenance record from my mechanic (out of the country for a month) and indeed he replaced the OVP relay but he also mentioned that the Throttle is closed and he apparently said it stuck and he cleaned it.

Can anyone give me an idea where the throttle is and how I can clean them.

Thank you again for any help.
Max
