300D gearbox

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a campervan built on a 1982 300D.
The gearbox is 4 speed. Is there a 5 speed unit that will fit?
Also, any known weak points on the vehicle to look out for?

They were a good van in their day, a turbo diesel is much better pulling that weight if you can find one

You cant change the box for a 5 speed
