300E 24V Sportline, "warbling" noise!!!

Hi,

I've had my W124 300E 24V Sportline now for a year and have this niggling noise. The car randomly makes a "warbling" noise when driving, at first I thought it was the exhaust and duely had the bracket at the centre section which is bolted to the gearbox, but still no joy??? Not sure where it is coming from, could it be the autobox, furher exhaust bracket, heat shield??

Any help would be appreciated!!

If you could give one of us a phone call when it happens and let us hear the noise it would help locate the problem.......

You may have a "Great Titted Warbler", nestling in your airbox. Ifso you must park your car at once and leave it until spring time, as they are a protected species that must be left alone until the fledgelings have flown the nest. Its the law dont you know!!!!!!!!! :smile:
