300SL-24 Fuel Pumps

Hi all. I am looking at replacing my fuel pumps. It is the model with 2 pumps. I have seen them with different bar pressures rating from 5 bar to 6.5 bar. Only looking at good makes but both pressures listed for 300sl-24. Whats the difference (and don't say pressure

) Is there any benefit in the higher pressures and what exactly is the specification ?

To a certain extent pressure is irrelevant as there is a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. As long as the pump has sufficient capacity to supply fuel at the correct pressure at all engine loads it doesn't really matter.

Always best to replace like for like though.

I think you need A0030915301.

That's what's listed in the EPC for my 300-24.
