I am restoring a 300 SL 107 series The car is one of the last made and was first registered in April 1990. I am trying to source either a kit or else material for the dashboard wood effect trim. I have been told that Mercedes no longer supply this kit as a part. Also does anyone know where I can obtain a parts catalogue that I can reference parts I require from.

I doubt if it's formica, more likely to be a very thin veneer in an aluminium backing

Lots of the cars have formica,,you can see the splits on the panels around the gear shift

So you either re do with a wood veneer and finish in a waterproof plastic clear coat or use formica, other that that is second hand part
