Hi,

Does anyone know of a reputable garage in London (S.E preferably) who will run a diagnostics check on my '92 300TE-24 and not charge me the earth to do so? I've read a number of threads relating horror stories of rip-off merchants so any recomendations would be much appreciated!

Many Thanks

What are the problems as a blink code tester would do on your car

Hi,

Problem is it's infernal habit once it's warmed up of nearly dying from a standstill when you move away (as though lack of fuel); the only way round this is to floor the throttle and (very quickly) jump back off when you're moving! A number of suggestions in the past (air-flow meter, "constant-load relay" etc) are fine but I really don't have the time or funds to replace each item in the chain until it works! A quick fault-code check may reveal the errant component...?

As your system is a Bosch, and the Bosch service centers have some of the best test gear on the market, why not go to one of them, one of the older ones may alslo have some staff who know your car well, and you can always ask this point

http://www.boschautoparts.co.uk/ go to automotive then find the garage locator for your area
