300te 24 fan belt 1991

does any one no how to set the tension on fitting a new fanbelt to my 300te

Standing in front of the engine. Look to the right of the engine between the steering pump and the engine block. You will see a long nut (13mm). Remember it. Look down at the fan belt and at the tension wheel (plastic). To the right of that is a 17 or 19 mm nut. just above that is a graduated scale with a pointer. Ok so slacken the 17 / 19mm nut a couple of turns. Then remember the 13mm long nut? Tighten that till the pointer on the graduated scale goes to the right. When there tighten the 17 / 19mm nut and job done.
