all backlighting to the control panel has been "lost" [dozen push buttons no knobs]-how do i repair please

if your car is a 210 then pull off the knob with a pair of pliers with a cloth over the knob and the lamp is behind

OK you have to withdraw the unit I believe

thanks malcolm but how do you remove the panel\unit without damage,is it just held with hidden clips?

To little slots one each side

you need keys

W 000 589 88 63 00 and cost £1 from MB

two screws inside above the radio and 2 at the top of the outlets for vents, if memory correct!!!!

thanks for advise,tried to buy keys but mb will not supply"tools" can anyone supply photo/drawing showing dimensions please;i assume they are no more than a flat blade which is pushed in and releases a tang by moving it up\down\sideways?
