320SL Air Con problem

Intermittent problem - was on motorway, very hot day, had A/C on high, lovely cool air, 30 minutes later, cool air no longer so cool, had not changed the settings, and cabin temp. had no way reached 16C. setting. Anyway, switched it off, and opened window. Started car today, again lovely cool air.

Don't think it needs recharging. Anyone out there with any theories?

Yes, it will need recharging, your symptons are perfect for that,when it fails when very warm weather , but is OK when not quite so warm is the start, and that's it. A £50 job with your local man. Ask him to check
