I got the warning light on in my 89 420 SEL. I checked the fluid which was low and filled to the correct level. Now the light wont go off!!!

Is there anything else that needs to be checked? There are no leaks nor is the car running hot. What could the problem be?

The light should only be for fluid level. It is quite possible that the switch is broken or needs a good cleaning.
