I need to replace the CV joints on the front half-shafts. Does anyone know where I can get replacements please - MB don't list them

The breakers want over £300 for a pair!

Have you tryed eurocarparts yet....Cant see why the dealers dont list the part....

Reconditioned/ rebuilt CV joints

I eventually found a firm in the Midlands that reconditions/ rebuilds CV joints. They offer 12 months g/tee, return courier was £10, same day turn round, estimate according to model of car

Did this firm manage to rebuild your CVs OK? Any feedback would be gratefully received as I find I now need an outer CV joint for my 4matic. Just for 'fun' I went into my local stealership this morning and they confirmed that the CV joints aren't available seperately for the front half-shafts. The parts guy did tell me however that he could supply a complete new half-shaft assembly for me within 2 days. The price? An eye-watering £903.81 including VAT.

Almost makes the breakers' £300 seem cheap... :-(
