something to be aware of , but the yanks ALWAYS get a better deal out of the makers when there are multiple failures r230 abc for example.
i am not yet put off the touareg ,the seller wanted 14,500 euro for his 3 lt fully loaded auto bluemotion at 127k miles i bid him 10,000 . i saw it yest dropped to 11,500 lets see. it was ,at least visually in good nic and drove ok but looking under the bonnet it had not been used for a while and i think on sworn. it was in france. on uk private plate i am trying to weigh up the pros,cons of that visa 4matic.

Must admit I do like those - strangely better than its cousin who shares the same skin

I thought the toerag had issues with the engine overheating (design fault on V10 tractor) and a oil seal that costs lots to fix

on that front reading this week's autocar there's a bit about buying used A6 nutter bastard estates and a 50p oil seal letting go.... trouble is it takes £2500 to fit it. Dead common allegedly

same as lr body off to change 2 quid seal.1500 quid job .i not looking at V10. would but diesel moving up and no room around that motor !!!
