500SEC Air Pump

The front pulley bearing on the air pump of my 1984 500SEC has fallen apart. I have removed the whole pulley assembly from the pump and it appears that the pump is ok. I have checked into the supply of a new pump assembly but wonder if anyone knows whether the pump, if ordered, will come with the pulley or not. Alternatively, if the pump is ok, can I just buy the pulley. It seems to be an electro-magnetic type assembly actuated for periods of time and disconnected for other periods.

Can anyone guide me?

Hi Ed,

It sounds like the AC compressor. If a compressor is ordered it will come complete. You should be able to order the parts seprately as well. If MB don't supply contact your local AC parts specialist.
