51 plate W124?????

Hi Guys,

Today i saw a 51 plate W124 E class. I was in shock, heres the full number plate RX51 FXM. Is this possible or is it likely to be an import and that is the reg given on its first UK registration????

DVLC say that all imports shall have a number appropriate for the year of manufacture

Just checked RAC vehicle checl and it shows the car as a FORD 2001 2.4???

U reckon i can pull the woman over next time i see her and make a citizens arrest???

There's a specialist dealer advertising an E220 manual on a Yplate,I thought R platers were about the last registered anyone know why this car didnt get registered until so late?

theres nothing stopping some one changing there plates to another afaik , why you would want to change it to RX51 FXM im not sure , maybe it has some significant meaning to them , either that or its stolen and there very stupid lol

You can change plates but the new plate cannot make the car appear newer than it actually is. You can't put a 51 plate on an older car.
