560 SEL electrics

1989 560SEL LH drive. I am trying to ascertain the manufacturer of the ECU be it Bosch or VDO. I cannot see any ID on the box itself. Anyone help? Malcolm

If by ECU you mean the fuel injection controller then it will be Bosch, other parts such as the idle controller are made by VDO.

Any particular reason why you need to know?
