Hi All, I just bought a 2004 C Class Estate and have decided to put a 6 CD autochanger in it. Questions are is there a wiring harness already in the car as standard and where would it be mounted, rear wing or under dash.
Regards Terry H

The car's manual should show where an optional CD changer would be located, probably in glove compartment (changer, not the manual).

The 6 CD changer on my 2007 S203 C Class Estate is mounted in the glovebox at the top of the space.

Thanks Andy, I checked the owners manual but there is no mention of an Autochanger or the location of such a item. I thought that was odd as it would have been an option I would have thought. Will have a look at the glove box in the morning.

Thanks will have a look through that later. I did have a quick browse and noticed that the person installing it had bought the wiring harness from Mercedes. That would infer that there isn't a standard harness to plug and play the selected options from new.

Mercedes tend to just fit what was originally on the build sheet and don’t put in looms for items not on the list. This makes it somewhat more difficult to upgrade

That would make it easier to select the upper shelf in the glove box for the Autochanger with a shorter loom from there to the CD player.
