Despite having six cds in the magazine, the head unit can't seem to play any of them. I've taken them out, put them back in, turned around three times and touched the floor, and still no joy, just " no cd 1-6" in the display. Any ideas anyone?

It is often the laser at fault when you get this message, you could try and clean the lens, it only takes one hair to stop it

Thanks Malcolm

any idea how to get at the little b*gger. I assume he's in the changer magazine in the boot.

Only by taking it out and removing the cover from the unit, do not apply too much downward pressure on the laser lens

Hi,
Could it not be the fibre optic cable between the head unit and the disc changer dislodged or damaged?

If it was that , it would say "no CD fitted"

the sticking plaster on my fingers

shows I had a go. It's not the laser, it's the little arm that hooks the slides out of the magazine. It's not hooking, and I can't get the cover off for fear of my fingers and completely goosing it up. Any more ideas anyone?
