I have Audio 20 with the 6 disc changer under the head unit.

Yesterday it started buzzing. 1 x 1 second buzz and two shorter ones so obviously something is stuck and it's trying to un-stick itself.

It continues to buzz even with the ignition key removed.

Driver's side dashboard end panel off, remove fuse 26 and the buzzing stops (and leaves me with the radio and 1 CD so it's not a disaster) but it starts up again when the fuse is reinserted.

So far, so obvious. I hoped it might reset itself but it didn't.

I've tried pressing all of the changer eject buttons, giving it a slap etc. and it is still buzzing.

Anyone heard of anything like this before? Got any tips?

I'm assuming it's a CD changer out & dismantle job?

Not an easy one, most correct themselves once the fuse is removed and replaced, are there any disc in it.

Is what I was hoping.

are there any disc in it

Three super thin and cheap 'silver' CDRs.

Don't usually use them but I'd run out of decent discs and I asked my wife to nick three discs from work so I'd have some new music in the car for the GTG..

That'll learn me :(

Removing the fuse normally cause any disc to eject,,,so they are too thin to be picked up in this system, its probably trying all the time.
You should be able to manually remove them

Thank you for the PM.:D

Anyone got any tips on separating these connectors on the back of the 6CD changer, please?

I've tried poking the bit ringed in red .. looks like it ought to come apart but it doesn't.

Maybe I'm not poking it hard enough?

Typical of Mercedes to make something straightforward, very complex!

Thanks, as usual, for any assistance given!

Edit.. They just pull apart! Doh!
