My old 300d has so many woes that I determined that a transmission swap was required.
I managed to source a transmisssion from a guy 200 miles away (but that is a loong story for another time) and there appears to be one key difference.
The "new" transmission does not have the modulator valve but the hole is capped and there is a shaft towards the front of the transmission that isnt on the "old" one.
    Are these two interchangable?
What do I need to change out of the old and into the new (please tell me I can ditch the modulator)
Where is the shaft meant to connect to?
    Help if you can please
