'86 230te tailgate wiring

Back again.
I have had problems with the fuse no1 blowing whenever the rear windscreen wiper was turned on and have traced the fault to the tailgate.
I have recently purchased the vehicle and take no responsibility for its mechanical/electrical condition.
It would appear that the tailgate is not the originally fitted one and a ten thumbed apprentice fitted the replacement. Anyway to the point.
I require a wiring diagram (including colour codes) of the tailgate specifically the rear windsceen wiper motor and motor relay from the connection block

is it a w123 or a w124

as you are just about on the change there in 1986. I have a haynes manual for the 124 and will have a look when i get home this evening.

The standard problem with tailgate wiring is broken wires where they pass through the rubber boot next to the hinge. But in your case it's as likely to be the motor
