C250d. 1994.HELP! Outside temperature gauge wiring diagram or multiplug pin No`s urgently wanted,to enable completion of installation of O.T.G.
Have looked on the Russian site but no info on this model. Pin 12 =brown to sensor and Pin 15 = green to sensor, for nearest models, do not match up.
Fitted the gauge-the sensor-soldered terminals on,But No.s 12 and 15 in use.So am buggered at the moment, and had the instrument consol out so many times I am now an expert on removal of same.

Thank You.

Any help on this would be most welcome, the car is an elegance model manufactured in 1993,if that helps at all. I have tried testing the pins on the otg and the pins in the console for connectivity with a multi-meter,ended up somewhat disappointed as the otg has multi pins and seems to cross connect with more than two plns on the console socket pins.Life gets complicated for no immediately apparent reason sometimes!
Although not life threatening it would be good to get the components connected and working. The gauge is new,the sender is new-not connected-YET? and new terminals are soldered on ready to go.Just cannot find where to put them----or is that leaving me open for a comment or two.
In anticipation~Thank you.

O.t.g.

Dear Malcolm,
I have been wracking my diminishing brain and have come to the conclusion that:I presumed that the 24 pin plug adjacent to the O.T.G unit was the one to make the connections into.As these are numbered 1~24. They did not relate to A1~A2 designations. The other plug,21 pin probably does have the correct designations A1~A2.When wifey gets back with the car I will check on this and report back.
I have posted this to save you spending any more time on investigations, which have been very much appreciated, until I make sure the 21 pin connector IS the one I should have been looking at.
By the way would you know if,by signing up for the tec.info from M.B any EPC info. or WIS info. would be forthcoming from them?
Yours sincerely,alan.

O.t.g.o.k.

Dear Malcolm,
As my last post the plug (21 pin) is,as I hoped, the one on the right of the instruments which contains the A1~A2 terminals for connection of the O.T.G sender.Who would have thought of putting the plug on the opposite side to the obvious ?
Still I am relieved to report that there is yet another Mercedes W202 with an outside temperature gauge Working !
The terminals are at the bottom right row of the plug terminals marked A1 -Brown wire and A2 -Green wire,if that helps any one else.
Have located sensor on drivers side /tow bracket removable grill to avoid the nearside muck from the road,so job done!! now for the------

Thank you Malcolm.
