hi all,

was about to replace my indicator stalk on my 96 C230 and came across a problem, at the back of my steering wheel ive found 2 holes which i would think are access holes to remove my airbag, but i cant seem to find any screws/nuts to remove it..... can anybody tell me how to get my airbag off my steering wheel????

Before attempting to remove the air bag (This is what I was taught at college):

Switch on the headlights
Remove both battery terminals
Wait 1-2 minutes

Then proceed. Regardless of the screw size and so on, work slowly with it. Rush and you could drop it and so on. I'm rather careful with airbags after one went off in college on a Rover 618Si and broke someones arm into two bits :(

Hi,
I thought they were T27, but regardless of size, be warned they are very tight!
