I have just had my front and rear pads changed by the main dealer and the rear ones squeal when braking. They tell me that this is normal when fitting new pads to old discs. They say the discs are good and the car has only done 44K from new. Are they telling me a load of porkies?

When fitting new pads on original disc they can squeal for a while until they bed in,, its mainly the glazing that does it and it should go within a couple of hundred miles or so
