hi everyone, i have just resolved the maf problem i had, eventually fitted the correct maf and this resolved the maf problem, thankyou to other members for the help which paid off.eg: car ran terribly untill the maf was disconnected, for those who are new to this situation the maf is a mass air sensor positioned in the car's air intake which through pressure and voltage/current controls the engines fuel injection system. currently with the new maf fitted the car is smooth,good starting, good tick over, free reving, the problem now is there is a very noticeable lack of power with your foot to the floor you get an icrease in revs but very limited power, like the turbo is not working. could it be a problem with the turbo's pressure relief valve stuck open ? the kickdown also does not operate ? any help fully appreciated. herbiemercman.
