hi everyone, i am waiting to get my car back from my local garage, they are replacing the suspension spheres as i was experiencing a complete lack of any suspension cushioning, very bumpy. the self levelling suspension was also not working. i imagine i will be able to enjoy an improved ride with the new spheres but how can you test the self levelling is working correctly? do you have to place a heavy load in the back of the car and then run the engine to see if the car levells up? also prior to the self levelling packing up the 6mm pipes which carry the hydraulic oil used to heat up after a few miles, when it was not working the pipes were cold. herbiemercman.

Start engine and place a load in the boot or sit on the back bumper. You should feel the car rise up to compensate. Also take the cap off the SLS tank in the engine bay and check that the fluid is pumping back to the tank.

hi stumpy, thankyou for your help. tried the test this morning, nothing happened. the sls is not working. my local garage are going to check the control valve and actuator cam, the oil is pouring into the resavoir but my garage says this might just be from the power steering side of the system and the suspension sls needs much more pressure? what is your opinion ? herbiemercman.
