Hi all, feeling a bit thick. Am trying to replace dipped bulb, but can't remove the clip! Have pushed, pulled and tried to lift up...advice greatly appreciated!

Not sure on C class but E class it was a twist.

If it's a wire clip it's push and move sideways if it has one 'ear' or squeeze if 2.

Thank you...I pushed and pulled every way I could think of! It looks like one long clip holding both bulbs in. Will get a shot tomorrow when home. Appreciated

Yes as LostKiki says, they twist, clockwise looking at lens from bulb entry point to lock and vice-versa to unlock. A damned sight easier than fiddly push on clips

in theory .... I'd to use pipe grips to turn one on my R Class, it was TIGHT and I couldn't twist my arm enough & grip at the same time

Did you not go through the access port in the wheelarch liner?

Is there an access port in my model?! I have never looked...does the wheel need to come off!

Not on yours I don't think. On the R Class the front wheels are directly behind the headlights.
You have metal inner guards on yours.

On my S203 220D estate, I had pretty good access behind headlamps after waterproof tab cover removed. Certainly better than on my daughter 320D BMW, cut my hands to shreds.

I can get in ok, just couldn't get the little b....r to release! I had a 320d...it was a challenge right enough.

The headlights on the early shape R Class are effectively in the engine bay ... no fog lights on mine ... maybe the facelift are different

When you look under the bonnet of an R there's nothing behind the headlight except the wheel arch.
On a C class there's an air box one side and ABS pump the other. Then behind that a metal inner wing.
