Just to say many many thanks to Olly for his first class advice and work at PCs - Portsmouth.
I needed to know a bit more advice on a clk 230 - at the same time have
an MAf replaced. I am not a mechanic and could have got several garages local do a similar check and replace. BUT... like many merc specialists - its good to know the person face to face- /the mechanic is fully trained and he works only on mercs - rather than a variety of other cars.
Worth every mileage and penny to know the facts of your mercedes, iits current condition and know he ( or she) is no bull****. Straight - honest - efficient and very very knowledgable.
I am not singling Olly out as Im sure there are many merc specialists out there - what I also liked was his constant response to certain questions to the forum with his laptop there by his side. Helping everyone as much as possible. Thanks again - Ollie or Olly (?) - and apologies for the delay of praising.

Ps -My sat nav was playing up - must have keyed in wrong postcode -it took me to the
Royal mail delivery yard! in Portsmouth of all places - Ha! - they directed me to his garage -still a mile away from garage, and still lost- Called Ollie, he came out, said to wait where I was and shot past me to turn around. Had my emergency lights on - saw the black merc coming in mirror -he flashed me -I waved him on so I could follow him - 400 yards following the merc I realised it was a different one going in a different direction! Must remember my glasses next time - luckily I turned round and saw Ollie where I was initally.
