Yesterday I pulled out the drivers seat to fix it....I did. When I went for a test drive, my A/C did not work, or even come on for that matter. The inside fan works, but the compressor clutch and the aux. fans do not work (clutch does not engage). I jumped out the low pressure switch just above the dryer and the clutch engages. I put gages on it to see if I had a switch problem or was low on freon (134A). The gages would not register anything but "0". So I hooked up a jug of freon to it and started charging the system... In my experience, after a little freon gets in there it will continue to register a pressure, however low... it will hold a pressure. This one, after a little charge, pulls a vacuum on the suction side and "0" pressure on the high side. Seems to have a blockage somewhere. Has anyone else seen these symptoms? Expansion valve?? The car is the 1995 300D. Never any problems in the past with the A/C...
