A Class A170 OBD??????? Anyone know

Hi, im looking at buying a diagnostic machine for error codes etc but i need to know if the car is OBD2 or whatever it should be, where can i check to know its got the 16 pin plug under the steering area i tried calling main dealer but all they say they use a star diagnostics,

its a 2000 A170 CDI AUTO
