I never cease to be impressed by Forum members and their encyclopedic knowledge of what can and can not be accommodated in the back seat of their cars!

I even saw one Forum member test the back seat of every car at MB World last Sunday - and we are not talking about Hire or Reward here, are we Sarah? ;);)

im asking because when i look at the pictures they look the same (the a class swb & lwb) so am wondering if the rear doors are bigger or the glass is bigger on the lwb etc

Yes, of course it is longer between the wheels. Hence the name long wheelbase! And the rear doors are bigger. Noticeably bigger so that is one way to tell. And the rear legroom is more than the standard S class.

And surely any advert or dealer will say LWB version?

I'm not known for my technical skills, but could it be that the LWB is longer than the SWB

That just proves the point. Malcolm is not indispensable!

We have long suspected that you have latent technical skills Sarah, and that you are merely toying with us!!:confused::confused:

Whilst the wheelbase may be longer in the LWB, I suspect the boot remains the same size though. ;)
