Hi all. Have not been on here for a while as everything in my life has been rosey!
But, as always, its impossible for that state to go on for long. I have a wife who for some reason finds it neccessary to make work for me!
She had an Alfa 156 that nearly bankrupted (is that a word?) me after months of repairs (all gratis you understand) so I thought I would try and arrange her a sensible car. A customers A 160 Merc came up and a deal was struck. Got a call from the missus on monday last week to say she had lost all gears. There was an "F" in the display where there should have been an"N" or 1,2,3,4,5. Checked on interweb to find posts refering to ACS module/pump. Mounted in the N/S/F wing this unit controls clutch operation. Did the obvious remove and strip but found nothing untoward. Having put it all back together I tried bleeding the system but was unable to get much fluid out. Does anybody know the correct way to bleed a clutch that has no clutch peddle?
regards
Steve
