a class srs problem

a class a150 2005
i have a a150 2005 which has the srs warning light permanently lit until someone sits on the passeger seat (front), i now rest a weight on the seat so that the srs light dissapears. the mot is now due and i have a feeling that the seats have to be clear of clutter therefore a fail, any help please

It sounds like the swab has failed in the seat base. There is a pressure pad that determines if a young child is sat in the passenger seat. If so it turns the passenger airbag off.
It sound like the swab has failed. There are bypasses apparently, although I would advise replacing the swab
