we have a PETROL a 160 99 s reg .it has a strange stalling problem then it wont start until the fuel cap is opened but if you leave the cap open it and it does stop and there is no pressure to release because the cap is open then it wont start for hours. We have had the carbon filter checked, new fuel filter, service, but now we have been told they suffer with fuel line problems would anyone no if this is true. The problems are / Start the car up it stalls after about 5 seconds then open the fuel cap and of you go again. But if you leave the cap open and it peters out and stops it wont start for hours it seem because theres no pressure to release. This is driving us around the bend any ideas will be most welcome by the way theres no fault codes stored
