Help much appreciated.
When my C220 CDi is starred on Friday by my supplying dealer, I would be keen to know what the threshold numbers are for %ash, %soot, pressure etc.
As I understand it, the ash % steadily grows during the life of the DPF as it is the result of the soot burn-off during regeneration.
At what % is the ash content such that mercedes would order a change.
If I'm presented with figures that are too high, I want to be armed with the knowledge to argue if they say 'It's fine sir'.
