Awaiting delivery (end of this week) of my brand new ML350 so I thought I'd just see if there was anything on any MB forums about this class (never had one before). Unfortunately it appears that people have plenty to say about the ML - and hardly any of it good.

:(

Mr Fridge has a rare friend.

I hope you dont have an American built one...

My offered advice, offload the ML before the warranty expires, and hit them with every little thing that goes wrong. watch that they do fix it and dont bodge it. Never travel without an emergency pack because u vill break down!! Their motto is "vee vill make sure".

A trouble free Merc is indeed a rare thing.

New ML

Best wishes with the new ML. Do not listen to the doom merchants. I have an ML 2.7CDI. It is 4th 4x4 I have had and is the best yet. Yes, early US built ones seem to give trouble but since production moved to Austria, by and large they are trouble free with an excellent warranty ( compared, say, to the VW one ) The ML is far more car like than many 4x4's and I know mine is comfortable, doing 31-33mpg and is good for towing.

The first 3 or 4 years were troublesome but they never had the 350. I haven't heard of a problem on the ML350 as of yet. I'm sure you'll injoy it for times to come.
