A Plea......

My 13 year old son passed away on Monday 2nd March after a 5 year battle with Leukemia. He always loved cars and one of his wishes was to be driven to his funeral in a Mercedes Estate car. I have been unable to find a funeral director with a car like this, I emphasis he did not want to go in a Hearse !
I am trying every avenue to find such a car and driver, so I appeal to your membership. If anyone has such a car in the Tunbridge Wells area and can make a short drive from Crowborough to T. Wells Crem on Wednesday 11th March please contact me on 07973 867053 asap.

Hi i live in Poole, dorset and have a 53 black E320 cdi Estate with Blacked out windows ( ican send you a pick if you like) i am not working next week and will make the journy for you if you cannot get anyone closer or a better car, i would ask you to pay half towards the fuel with me(about £25 each). Just wanted to add my deepest condolences, I am so sorry for your tragic loss. What a very brave young man you had there.
I really do hope that someone can help out although as someone else has said the Co-op undertakers near me uses Mercedes cars, so definitely worth a try.

I've given the guy a call - I have just measured the internal measurements of the car, but the c-classes narrow quite a bit towards the middle - am hoping that the measurements will be ok, and then we would be good to go.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
And I won't want any donations towards the cost. It'll be an honour to do it.
