A question about Comand - ipod kit...

Hi my friends.
I 've order a c350(W203) sports coupe and i'd like to inform me about several thinks:

1. I 'll put a DVD comand aps on my car. Do you know if it's possible to play DVD with mp3 songs?

2. If not,I''m thinking to install the official ipod kit. Do you know if the display unit of the comand 'll show the information about mp3 track's like ID3 tags e.t.c? Can I control ipod by comand?(I know that i can control it by steering)

3. Can I install an external TV-tuner and/or a DVD player on my Car?

The MB command from 2005 will play DVD.

You will have an AUX input that you can use for a external TV or DVD.

I do not know about MP3

All command fitted to cars after 2005 can play DVD, the cars built before 2005 cannot play DVD.

The dealer in my country (Greece) told me that it is not possible to watch DVD movies on a W203 comand DVD without additional hardware!!!What an idiot

If you want to veiw DVD while on the move,the dealer must do this.

This isnt strictly true. Comand in an A/B and C class will not play DVD movies.

It may be possible to fit a TV tuner to a C class although the documentation on this is unclear. It seems you can order a TV tuner at £0 cost! However the brochure does not list it. The brochure also clearly states 'DVD playback no possible'. Its a firmware issue so perhaps at some point MB/Becker will enable it!

Although the W209 CLK and W203 C class units are very similar, only the CLK's brochure actually offers a TV tuner.
