HELP!Driving on the motorway in my 2000 A series petrol automatic long wheel base, all lights lit up on dashboared. Stopped car checked oil (OK) but car will now not start. Engine will not turn over. All lights light on dashboard but do not go out - nothing happens when I turn the key. RAC came out and guy said it could be the Merc after market immobliser/alarm that has gone faulty. He overroad something under bonnet attached to bulk head and it would then turn over but not fire and then put back what ever it was - then it would not turn over as before. He towed car back. Had my ECU repaied by BA reman last month after ECU light came on (hot film sensor) - and it has been running fine since then. Any thoughts please?

sorry dak, just me and black having a bit of banter, yes cps, crank sensor, tells the ecu where the crank is, going back its like a set of points, will give you your fault all day long!!!!!!
