I agree that it is ultra quick - but dangerous drivers and law enforcement agencies have learned to maim and kill will much less expensive/quick machines than this.

Is it perhaps time to discourage the "cowboys and indians" approach to traffic enforcement? After all, a policeman, with a radio, in a Morris Minor at either end of the road is going to be able to enforce much quicker, and hopefully safer.

Today's headline that we are all going to enjoy 20mph speed limits "because a pedestrian hit at 20mph will be less badly injured than one hit at 30mph" seems to miss the point - the pedestrian has to be in the carriageway (in the overwhelming majority of cases) to be hit!

20mph v "highly trained professional pursuit drivers" does not compute.
