A160 rear brake problums!

:confused:took my A160 (s reg) in for mot,failed on rear brakes,when doing left hand no effort,then right hand has effort on 2nd push of peddle,but both work ok on balence test?!!!!.had to bleed brakes before as no fluid due to broken front flexy pipe,have been told might have to put the computer in bleed mode to bleed??

Take it to someone who knows what they're doing.

That was my thoughts type 49!

Hence i said bring it to us!
well im no better off! went to a local merc garage and he put it on the proper merc computor no faults!,re bled the system went back to work and used the rolling road hand brake fine, left efort nill,right efort nill, balence (both together) fine!.put another master cyl on still no change!,un pluged pressure sens on top of abs unit and it worked fine!!but the abs light come's on so no mot!.its as if the abs thinks the wheel is skidding and is ristricting the flow?.:confused:

try loading the back end up with a decent weight. ive seen many cars with not muck over 50 each at the rears and the fronts pull 300 each! its the load sensing valve. weight in the back and all should be fine. tester isnt allowed to remove it, but a competent tester should already know that you get a miniscule reading on the rear end! as long as theres the slightest effort and the brakes total more than 50% of the cars kerbweight on the chart, its a pass! the abs itself shouldnt be the cause as the rollers shouldnt run fast enough
