Hi all,

Been a while since I posted here.

I have a 02 A170 CDi manual, bought it on 38K now on 65K. Always been regularly serviced etc. Lately its been very noisy, when its idling the whole car shakes a lot. Also the performance has decreased a little. If I am driving and am under 2K the car shakes so much so that it feels like its going to stall.

Any ideas ppl?

Thanks!

Sounds like an injector has gone down.

I took it to my local mechanic whom i use for servicing they couldn't figure it out . Would this need plugging in to the Merc Computer to see whats wrong?

Does the glow plug light come on whist driving?

Could be a glow plug down or failed injector but you do need to get it on diags really to be sure.

Hi the glowplug come on briefly then goes out as it should on start-up.

Also the car seems to be using a fair bit of oil aswell and the mpg has gone down too ! could this be related to the injector problem??

thanks.

Doesnt sound like an injector problem or glow plug then if its using oil, how much does it use.
