A170 stuck injector

I have one of the injectors jammed solid, all sorts of pulling and hammering so far have failed to get it out. Last option is to weld a socket to the injector so i gat get a decent bar on it, but i will have to hire a welder or pay someone to do it and i guess it will be done in five minutes.

So has anyone any other ideas or tips to get the injector out, im not worried about causing damage to the injector as i have long gone past that stage.

Thanks

Carefull here, I've heard of people needing new cylinder heads after trying to remove stuck injectors. There is a special tool which hooks round the injector & on to a slide hammer. You may be able to borrow one from a dealer but be prepaired to pay full cost of tool as deposit. Even so, do not rush it. It may be worth seeking advice of a "thread doctor" who will have experience of this.
