Any advise appreciated.
ABC Warning in Red came on and after parking the car overnight I had a leak over the drive!!
The reservoir looks too full when the engine is off but occasionally when the engine is running it drops too low (not always though)
The leak looks to have come from the front passenger side.
I’m no mechanic so couldn’t fix anything like this myself and unfortunately we don’t have a Merc Specialist in Derby other than the main dealer!
Does this sound like the pump or accumulator? Someone did say a change of the fluid in the system can cure problems?
I have ran a diagnostic which came back with fault: C1525-064 System Pressure Too Low
Thanks

Pressure too low may be insufficient fluid (which is possible given its leaked out) or a severe leak preventing pressure being held or a bad pump.
Jay at Mercland in Nuneaton is your man.

A few good indys in Nottingham depending what side of Derby you are. Mercserve for one. I have used them for years and top blokes.
Top up whats leaked and determine if you can make it to Nottingham or an Indy.
if you have roadside, ask then to trailer it.

A change of fluid will not fix a leak. a hole in your bucket wont be fixed by refilling.

you need to get under the bonnet and locate the leak. post some pics and someone may be to help. it could be a seal, split pipe, a fluid motor, a reservoir etc etc

It could be as simple as a leaking pipe.

Top it up, see if warning goes out, get it to one of the indies recommended.

If the warning won’t go out, it may be better to get it trailered, driving any distance with low fluid could ruin the pump.

Recon pumps are available from MB for around 500 with a two year warranty.

Valve blocks can be recon with Viton seals - kits around 80?

Hoses can be made up by hydraulic specialists, they can even reuse connectors in some cases, or replace if it’s a standard size.

If the membrane within an accumulator ruptures the released gas can cause the oil to overflow the reservoir.
Big changes in oil level e.g. beyond that indicated on the dipstick, seem to indicate a failed accumulator.
