Car been with indie now for a couple of days they just rang me tonight and it has taken them till now to get the red abc warning up. Low on pressure, must admit when I got it towed by the aa I drove it off the drive and no red abc light came on. Reading one of the good scimatics on abc code to me points to blown accumulator as the hydraulic fluid is not dropping on the dipstick when the engine is running.

Pulsation dampers don't cause low pressure.

It's either the pump, or the suction valve on the side of the pump sticking.

Of course, do check the wiring to the pressure sensor but this is less likely.

Pump only done 18,000 miles was changed in 2014 by a previous owner. With two accumulators, the one thing I noticed when the red light came on is I checked the hydraulic level when off and level at top, when I ran the engine the level never dropped.

Suction valve or pump
Wiring fault

New pumps fail, often due to dirt entering the system during the replacement. Tap the suction valve when it's making no pressure and see if it starts
