ABC red warning

Hi Red ABC warning on dash this morning only drove half a mile home the ride did seem bouncy compared with normal, any thoughts?

Check fluid level.
check fluid colour.

has it ever been changed?


if the level has suddenly dropped, then maybe one of the pulsation damper spheres

You really need codes read.
A red warning you should not drive the car. If it's the pump failing the pieces can spread through the entire system which can create future issues.

Due to Covid the car was behind the locked gates of a garage who were supposed to be selling it for me, nothing happened .Only back on the road so could that have something to do with it?

I had someone coming today to look at the car so yesterday I did about 30 miles in it checked the ABC was operational, which it was, also when I stopped the car in the drive I operated the raise function which also worked. Out of the drive this morning and within 100m ABC visit workshop came on ,in black, by the time i turned around 1/2 mile it had turned to red warning. I've checked the drive no signs of any leaks and the car is sitting perfectly level.

When the red ABC warning comes on stop the car immediately and do not attempt to road test further, you could turn a couple hundred pound repair into thousands.

Less than 1/2 mile to home couldn't leave it on main road, so no option. Hoping to get someone local to get me fault codes. If I do and post them on here could anyone advise what they mean?

When my red ABC light came on I parked up and had it trailered to my local MB garage.

They diagnosed ABC pump failure. I had the pump replaced and the system flushed, and fluid changed, and all fine.

As above, I wouldn't drive it, you could cause more damage.

First thing to check (as suggested earlier) is ABC fluid level.

If you have an icarsoft, you can plug it it in, and read the live pressure. (Checks pump operation, if it’s low look at all pipe unions, I had a weep on one that just needed nipping up to cure).

If you get someone competent to read the fault codes, do not comer here asking what they mean, the garage will tell you that. Get your car fixed and good luck

Car fixed it was a loss of pressure in the system got system bled on STAR system all clear and sold the car yesterday. Thanks for everyone's help.
