My W202 '96 C220 has this problem during start up - upon turning the ignition on, the RPM dips at very low level (engine almost dies) then suddenly surges, then normalizes at about 8000 RPM. It doesnt happen during cold start but mostly when the car has been used already during the day. Can someone please give me some advice on this. Thanks.
