Hi,

Driving home this evening and the ABS & BAS/ESP warning lights up. This is the second time this has happened in the past week. Car drives fine. When restarting the car the warnings lights have turned off.

Could it just be a loose connection or is there some sort of other electrical fault???

Any advise appreciated

TIA

dont assume you have a brake pedal with a switch you can change, it depends upon the model. I have a C220CDI 2002 model. I had exactly the same problem and went to the stealer to get a new switch. Found out there was no switch and was integral to some unit. The problem actually was a wiring loom modification and they wanted £172 inc to fix this. When we went to collect the car the dealer had spoken to Mercedes and they did it as a good will gesture for free. We were prepared to pay but I guess it was a problem from new and not due to wear and tear. The dealer is Lancaster Motors in Chelmsford and full marks to them as they could have just taken the money off of me. They did say that whilst this warning light is on, the ABS and ESP does NOT work so I would get it sorted ASP
