Hopefully this is the right place,
Had near front bearing changed now esp abs constantly on sometimes can take a little while to come on. Came up with something about rpm sensor so Changed that, can't fully remebr what it said, had another new bearing fitted incase it was something to do with that.
Had new brakes and pads also

Anyone have any idea on what to check next

ABS sensor isn't giving a reliable signal.
Not sure on your vintage but in W203 they used a magnetic trigger built into the wheel bearing seal. If the seal was pushed in too far during assembly ABS, BAS and cruise would all fail.

would think? a lip inbuilt in rear of hub would prevent seal going in past a design limit. at least GOOD design would..

Would be logical....
Way to fit them is flush to hub (I used a lump of wood across the seal).

Almost certainly seal incorrectly fitted then.
A diagnostic session will confirm if it's the same wheel which will then confirm the seal being fitted too deeply.

If you use a good technician with reasonable equipment, he can take live readings as the car is driven.
This will isolate and pinpoint the culprit - most likely the wheel on which you've just changed the bearing.
Remedy as stated above.

we live and learn .. i would have prob driven the seal in to far as well thinking the stub axle design required it. tho i like to think i might have noted the original fit prior to removng the seal.

The bearings are fine (probably).
On the inner side of the hub is an oil seal which keeps grease in the bearing. The oil seal contains a magnet which is detected by ABS sensors. In order for this to happen the distance from the sensor to the seal has to be correct.
If the seal has been fitted too deep into the hub the error will appear as the magnet is too far from the sensor and once set won't reset until three successive starts (of a reasonable length) with no issue detected.

ABS sensors are used for many things including ESP, ABS, Cruise control, TPMS etc.

I fell foul of exactly this issue when I had my last C class.

It's not difficult to fix and very easy to diagnose.

Very strange it happened immediately after having a bearing done though isn't it?

First rule of troubleshooting:
"If it did work and now doesn't what was the last thing I touched?"

You said in the first post:
"Had near front bearing changed now esp abs constantly on sometimes can take a little while to come on. "

So why was the bearing changed? Was it for ESP/ABS issues or something else?
