Hi,
I jumped into my 95 C180 this morning to find the ABS warning light on and the warning light indicating a bulb had gone. The near side headlight bulb has definately lost a filament but I am wondering if these warning lights are somehow linked or is this just pure coincidence. Any suggestions on where to start checking regarding the ABS problem???

Thanks in advance,

Les

I hope that the car does have one, if it does it will be the fuse on top that has blown (hopefully)

ABS Thanks Guys

Many thanks for your suggestions, plenty to be going on with however there has been a change in symtoms. I drove to the golf today with the UBS light blinding me. Hit some practice shots and when I got back in the car to go to the club house the ABS light was gone. It also stayed out on my drive home. I can't imagine that hitting golf shots has been the cure si I must assume I have a dodgey connection somewhere or perhaps dirt on the sensors, or even a sticky relay perhaps. Back to square one now I suppose.

Thanks again for your help,

Les

it might well be a intermittent fault if it returns you know what to look at :Dbut stick with the golf it seems to work

Give the OVP relay a few whacks with a golf club, only joking but they can get dry jointed.

Or was it a low voltage blip, thats gone now as the car has been driven

Hi,
I had similar fault with my (97) C230K, intermittent fault ABS warning light on and off, mine turned out to be the rear sensor, which was diagnosed via a hand held tester.
It was intially cleaned and was still coming on. So I bought a new one from ECP, and it only took a few minutes to fit, very easy job.
If you have it tested make sure the light is on at the time of test as the fault does,nt get logged.
