Hi guys the old w124 is still ticking over nicely (2 fingers up to 2000 scrappage), but there's an issue where when you pull away the ABS light comes on when revs have built up.

OVP is 2yrs old but I had the streering damper and the ride hieght burls doe just before this problem arose.

When the ABS cable to both sides were tested the guy said it was one of them but everything was ok until he did the burls and the damper

Any ideas?

it sounds as if an amateur did your car because he did not allow for the suspension lower wishbone to drop (did not support it) and he thefore stretched the cable going to abs sensor and stretched it so much it broke the connecting wires inside.

When you price the new wire from merc you will be inclined to get back to them and report it and expect some compensation.

May be worth pulling a few inches of the cable into the arch to allow for a bit of movement, it may prevent the cable going open circuit. Worth a try as it's free to do :)
